A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dr. Wagner attended Hofstra University where he majored in Pre-Medical studies, earning his Bachelor of Science degree. He then attended Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida. He graduated and matched with his first choice for residency at South Miami / Baptist Hospital in Miami; a top-tier foot and ankle surgical residency in Florida by case volume and diversity.
During his residency, he completed numerous additional surgical training courses with an emphasis on adult reconstructive foot & ankle surgery, external fixation, ankle arthroscopy, lower extremity trauma, regenerative medicine, varicose vein disease and diabetic limb salvage. In addition Dr. Wagner completed a fellowship under the guidance of Dr. Orlando Nunez, MD / DPM, in minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Wagner is the founder of JAWS Podiatry, where minimally-invasive foot surgeries are performed in our state-of-the-art facility in Hollywood, Florida. Our center are dedicated to using the latest research and most advanced technologies to deliver the most exceptional lower extremity care.
Dr. Wagner is a recognized authority in MIFAS (minimally-invasive foot and ankle surgery), aesthetic and cosmetic foot surgery, regenerative in-office procedures and in the treatment and prevention of difficult to heal wounds.
In a short time he has developed a reputation as being a cutting-edge specialist in the management of problems of the foot, ankle and leg, and frequently appears on radio and television.
Furthermore, Dr. Wagner is Board Certified by The American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
